Group FAQ’s
What is the difference between a Group, Private and Custom trip?
A Group is 6-20 people who join a regularly scheduled Trek Travel trip together with other Trek Travel guests. ’Groups’ benefit from our special discount once they have six people and continue to benefit the more people they have in their group. Unlike a private or custom trip you do not have to know your group size, nor is the group required to pay a non-refundable deposit. Instead, each member of the group pays the standard deposit. As a result, this option is flexible and affordable. A Private Trip, is a regularly scheduled, pre-existing itinerary that is exclusive to your crew and does not include other Trek Travel guests. A Private trip requires a non-refundable trip deposit and a larger group minimum (suggested 10-12+ guests). You can have a group that is less than 10-12 guests, however this will impact the price of your trip. A Custom Trip is the ultimate in flexibility and personalization. You can select your own date, you can choose or tweak one of our existing trip itineraries or create your own. We build the trip to your specifications in every way possible. This option, however, is often more expensive. A Custom trip also requires a non-refundable deposit for the development and research for the trip design and itinerary.
If our ’Group’ books a trip, who will be on it?
Your group will be traveling with other Trek Travel guests. We have the coolest guests around so no matter who is on the trip, you’ll have a great time!
What if our group does not want to travel with other people?
If you’d prefer a trip that is exclusively with your party alone, we suggest looking into our Private Trip option.
What if our group can only travel on a date that isn’t listed on your site?
Give us a call (866 464 8735)! We love groups! We’ll work with you to see if we can arrange a trip that works with your dates. Additionally, you can put your date in Travel Match. This is a program that matches people who would like to travel to the same destination and on the same non-scheduled date!
What if I have a group that would like to join a Ride Camp. Are there any special discounts?
’Group’ discounts are not available on our Ride Camp trips.

What if we have less than 10 in our Private group?
If you have less than 10 in your crew we can still run your private trip, HOWEVER, it will impact the price of the trip. Please contact our Trip Consultant to find out what the new price will be (866 464 8735).
What if our group wants to do a regular Trek Travel trip but on a non-scheduled date?
We are happy to work with you on this! Let us know what dates you prefer and we will see if we can make it happen. Doing a trip on a non-scheduled date, however, may impact the price of the trip. Please contact our Trip Consultant to find out what the new price might be (866 464 8735).
What if we want to make some changes to an itinerary?
Anything is possible. However, depending on the changes you’d like to make to your trip, it will impact the price of the trip either a little or a lot. Small activity changes, increasing or decreasing the amount of meals that are included are all relatively easy and inexpensive things to do. Changing hotels, adding days to the trip, and significantly changing scheduled rides will result in a higher priced trip.
We have a budget we’d like to adhere to. Can you create a trip that meets that budget?
We’ve worked with many groups in this situation. Just give us a call, tell us your budget and we’ll pull together a trip that stays within your financial boundaries. We are fun and flexible after all!
Can we create an entirely new customized trip?

Can I book a Private Ride Camp?
