Starting on the Pacific Coast in charming Santa Barbara, CA, this bike tour proceeds east across varied, enchanting terrain under the watchful eye of Trek Travel’s legendary guides. From the otherworldly beauty of the Mojave Desert to the mesas, ancient ruins, and canyons of the Colorado River Valleys to the snow melt splendor of the Rocky Mountains, this cycling trip takes guests one third of the way across the continent. The road is long and challenging, but with good training and dedication, spinning an average of 100 miles per day will be the perfect way to kick off the cycling season of a lifetime. As the only tour operator to offer a fully supported, all-encompassing cycling trip that spans the entire width of the Western United States, you’ll cover 1085 miles and climb 81,176 feet over the course of 14 days. Your shortest day will be 40 miles and your longest day will be 145 miles. You’ll have one rest day at the Grand Canyon, two “rolling recovery” days with mileage of 40 to 60 miles, and 5 days of 100 miles or more.

Maswik Lodge | South Rim Grand Canyon, AZ The Maswik lodge is nestled in a Ponderosa pine forest just ¼ mile from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The lodge is conveniently located near eateries, shops, laundry services and the Canyon shuttle that can take you to most of the sites of the South Rim.
La Fonda de Taos | Taos, NM Set in the center of historic Taos Plaza, “La Fonda,” Spanish for “the Inn” dates back to the late 1800’s and has held a prominent place in Taos history ever since.
